"Take these lies and make them true..."
Somehow. I won't let you down. I will not give you up.
Good days. Bad days. That's what I'm told is our lives - stop trying, stop hoping, stop looking (...for new, different treatments).
She's sad. She begged. I can't let her down. I'm stubborn.
Medication trial number 8 (?)... honestly, I've lost count. Today's new drug is "not to be prescribed to individuals under 24 years of age," side effects create as bad of an episode as what she entered treatment for. Medication will not make her better.
Today was a bad day.
She wants to be done. I heard her.
She wants to go away. I heard her.
She doesn't want to live like this. I heard her.
She doesn't want to live.
She used to be happy, she's been happy, she can be happy.
"There is no medication. There is no effective long term therapy. There is no cure," they say.
Hold my beer, I say back in September.
We've tried. She's tried. She's suffering. They weren't lying.
Well this medication trial has created its own mental health cluster. I heard her. She's done.
So I bought her an easel...

Freedom.
